PRODUCING A MUSICAL INTENSIVE
High School & College-Aged Students | Open to applicants nationwide
This highly selective, tuition-free intensive is open to applicants from across the United States who are interested in learning what it truly takes to produce a professional musical.
Participants will gain a behind-the-scenes look at the full production process through:
Educational workshops and group discussions
One-on-one creative meetings with Producer Laura Luc
Hands-on experience working on a musical produced in New York City
Acceptance is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible for consideration.
This program is offered at no cost to accepted participants. In lieu of tuition, participants gain real-world producing experience by contributing to fundraising efforts for the production.

BECOME A JUNIOR PRODUCER IN NYC
Participants in the Producing a Musical Intensive qualify for the rare opportunity to serve as a Junior Producer on KOTA’s NYC production at Theatre Row.
To Qualify as a Junior Producer, participants must:
Successfully complete the Producing a Musical Intensive, including all group workshops and one-on-one meetings
Fundraise a minimum of $2,500
(Fundraising tools, strategies, and support will be taught during the intensive)Participate in KOTA’s Mainstage production of MATILDA at Theatre Row in NYC

Headshot and bio featured in the official playbill
Resume credit as a Junior Producer
Two premium complimentary tickets to a performance of choice
Shadowing opportunities during technical rehearsals and performances in NYC
