A private 6-month mentorship experience for young performers ready for the next level.

The Artist Development Lab is a selective mentorship experience designed for young performers who are ready to step into focused professional development. This program is for artists who love performing, show strong dedication, and are excited to explore what the next level of their journey could look like.

Each participant receives individualized coaching, career guidance, and hands-on support tailored to their goals. The Lab is designed to be both structured and fun — a space where artists are challenged, encouraged, and celebrated as they grow.

Families receive clear guidance about the industry while performers build confidence, skills, and real-world readiness. We don’t rush careers. We build strong foundations.

Enrollment for the March–September 2026 session is now open.

We accept a limited number of artists each session to ensure meaningful one-on-one mentorship.

By invitation only.

What ‘the lab’ provides

The Artist Development Lab is focused on professional growth, not classroom training. Artists receive individualized mentorship that strengthens confidence, readiness, and real-world preparation for the performing arts industry. Participants leave with clearer direction, stronger materials, and a personalized plan for their next steps — whether that means continuing training, pursuing representation, or preparing for professional opportunities.

Professional development includes:

• Individualized career strategy and next-step planning
• Representation readiness and professional industry guidance
• Curated audition material and preparation
• Professional materials refinement (headshots, resumes, reels)
• Mentorship with established industry professionals
• Select showcase opportunities (virtual and NYC)

Our promise

The Artist Development Lab exists to support long-term artistic growth, healthy expectations, and joyful exploration of the performing arts. We treat young performers with respect, honesty, and care.

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

Addie Jaymes

Addie has trained with KOTA since 2020, growing through years of consistent dedication and mentorship. In 2023 she joined the National Broadway Tour of Annie and is currently traveling the country as Amaryllis in The Music Man. We are proud to support artists like Addie as they build long-term careers where they can grow and thrive in whatever stage they are in.

Lillian Castner

Following her performance in a KOTA production last spring, 9-year-old Lilly worked privately with Laura Luc to elevate her materials and audition readiness. Within two months, she secured representation with a top talent manager and booked the role of Little Cosette in the National Tour of Les Misérables.

Please note: Every artist’s journey is unique and outcomes are never guaranteed.
